Communities in Appalachia are often divided by seemingly arbitrary administrative regional borders drawn by federal entities. The Central Appalachian Regional Brownfields Innovation Network (CABIN) seeks to cross those borders, bringing communities of similar size, assets, and challenges together to facilitate more effective redevelopment in small, rural communities.
